WHAT IS GOOGLE SCHOLAR?
Google Scholar is a search engine that indexes the content of academic periodicals and ebooks from several commercial publishers, scholarly societies, and universities. It is a useful tool for:

Find articles in French.
Find / import records of articles that make up a bibliography in .pdf format.
Do a search in the full text of articles.
However, Google Scholar does not replace a well-constructed search of the specialized databases to which UQO subscribes as these databases contain proprietary content that is not fully identifiable or freely available on Google Scholar.

PARAMETERS FOR ACCESSING LIBRARY DOCUMENTS:
Most of the time, Google Scholar does not give access to the full text. It is your library which, by its subscriptions, gives you access via the linkget UQO

By default, this link should appear automatically for users who are on the UQO campus. Off-campus users must enable links by going to Google Scholar settings.
Here are the steps to follow:

From the Google Scholar home page, click the Settings option.

Then click on links to libraries.

Enter the name of the university, “Université du Québec en Outaouais”, and click on the magnifying glass.

Check the “Université du Québec en Outaouais – Available at UQO” box.

The library link appears and click save. Your UQO ID and password will be required when you want to access the full text via the link get UQO. This link allows you to access the texts to which the library is subscribed.
